balloon #70

Born and raised in the Greater Los Angeles area provided the groundwork for my interest in art. This early exposure to art, nurtured by my art-minded mother, set the stage for my now-realized passion, painting.

Self-taught, I ventured into fashion illustration and design with in my late twenties at the heyday of the boutique craze in Los Angeles. This foundation has proven beneficial in my interest in the human form, motion and color.

My interest in the human form and all its manifestations - unapologetic and unashamed - was re-established 17 years ago and continues today. I have expanded from figurative, into abstract, scapes and portraiture.

Using painting knives facilitates my painterly|inpasto technique. Suggestion instead of description speaks to this painter. Freeing the painting process and erasing boundaries.
